What is there to do on the Island
Anna Maria has it all when it comes to play, Shopping and dining out. Choose from casual tiki bars, family fun restaurants, casual coffee shops or elegant romantic dinners. If it's breakfast you need, then try Ginni and Jane's for their great coffee and do a little shopping  in their quaint and unusual store. You'll be sure to find something different. Lunching at the Rod and Reel at the very north end of the island is fun with peel and eat shrimp and a really cold beer! The Bridge Tender Inn has a casual outside bar, right by the water or if it's ocean you want, then The Gulf Drive Cafe and Tiki Bar, or the Beachouse will give you fantastic views. For the evening, The Waterfront Restaurant is an ideal place for quality food and a wonderful atmosphere. The Island Time Grill is more casual and on the busy historic street circle where it is all happening. If you are looking for fine dining, The Beach Bistro, Patti George's on Longboat Key, Euphemia Haye on Longboat Key. A drive to St Armand's Circle will give you a plethora of bars, restaurants, and cafes  to choose from. The most local restaurant is the Indian at the end of the street - very friendly staff, great authentic Indian food - dine in or take out. Whatever you are looking for, Anna Maria Island has it all - come and check it out!!
Check out some of the boutiques at the north end of the island and in the historic main street at Bradenton Beach. Put your car away for the week, you can get anywhere on the island, free of charge on the trolley. No more arguing about who is the "Designated Driver" you can walk to some great bars and restaurants, or hire bikes, or scooters if you want to explore further. We also provide 2 bikes for you and your families use.
